tylosin tartrate – 200 mg.

Tylosin – a mixture of macrolide antibiotics produced by a strain of Streptomyces fradiae, which includes mainly tylosin A. Tylosin effective against gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Pasteurella spp., Vibrio spp., Leptospira spp., Brucella spp., Neisseria spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., as well as against mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.), chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.), rickettsia (Rickettsia spp.), spirochetes (Spirochaetes). Tylosin exhibits bacteriostatic effect by inhibition of protein synthesis (via irreversible connection with subunits 50S of bacterial ribosomes) and microbial cell growth and multiplication, respectively.
Application
Cattle, sheep, goats, treatment of animals suffering from bronchopneumonia, pneumoenteritis, metritis, arthritis, necrotic pododermatitis, contagious agalactia, mastitis, calf diphtheria, goats pleuropneumonia, calf interstitial pneumonia, sheep chlamydial abortions , caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Pigs: treatment of animals suffering from enzootic pneumonia, enteritis, dysentery, atrophic rhinitis, erysipelas, staphylococcal arthritis, leptospirosis, MMA syndrome, caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
Dogs, cats: treatment of animals with diseases of the digestive and respiratory canal and animals suffering from otitis, cystitis, metritis, dermatitis, leptospirosis, caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin.
The drug is also used for the treatment of surgical infections and secondary bacterial infections in viral diseases.
Dosage
Intramuscularly once a day at doses:
cattle – 0.25-0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight;
sheep, goats – 0.25-0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight;
pigs – 0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight;
dogs, cats – 0.25-0.5 ml per 10 kg of body weight.
The drug stop to inject in 24 hours after the disappearance of symptoms, but not later than in 5 days of application.
Do not inject in one part of the body to adult cattle more than 20 ml; calves, sheep, goats – 15 ml; piglets, pigs – more than 10 ml; dogs, cats – more than 5 ml. If you need a dose greater than allowed, it is divided and injected in several places.
Contraindications
Do not apply to animals with hypersensitivity to tylosin.
Do not apply to animals at the first week of life.
Do not use in conjunction with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycin due to pronounced decline of antibiotic tylosin effect.
Do not use to horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters.
Precautions
Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed in 8 days after the last application of the drug. Consumption of milk in food by people is allowed in 4 days after the last application of the drug.
